Samsung Galaxy S3 to be available in white and dark blue options

| by Aaron Almeida | Smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy S 3 will launch in a few hours; however, rumours keep on flooding in regarding the brand’s next flagship smartphone. The last we heard about this smartphone was that it is expected to feature a 4.8-inch display as opposed to the rumours stating that a 4.6-inch display will be used. In the latest development regarding the size of the display, GSMArena, has received information courtesy of Unwire.hk, where the website has in its possession a screen protector that is designed for the Galaxy S3. The report states, “it's really hard to measure screen diagonal on one, as it's designed to protect the whole front of the device, not just the screen. But since it turned out too big for an HTC One X (with a 4.7-inch screen), the 4.8-inch rumor for the Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to be the correct one, if the protector manufacturer is to be believed.”

If one thought the size of the display was the only information that was revealed, one can guess again as the report has also received information from a source showing a screen shot regarding the next big release from Samsung. The website states, “We received an anonymous tip that the Carphone Warehouse inventory system lists the Samsung Galaxy S3 in two color versions.” It seems that upon launch, Samsung will be ditching the traditional black option and instead release the handset in Blue and White colours. The website clarifies this information by stating that this is not the first time Samsung has adopted a Blue option as the Galaxy Note that was released for AT&T features a carbon Blue option as well as the ceramic White that is available worldwide. So it may come as no surprise if the brand chooses to use this colour option for their Galaxy S3 smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be launched today at the Samsung Unpacked Mobile event 2012 in London. Though the Galaxy S3 is expected to possess a lion's share of the spotlight, what is left to be seen is what the brand will launch besides their flagship smartphone.

We’ve already established that the Lumia 720 is Nokia’s best effort as far as Windows Phone 8 handsets go. This could soon change once the Lumia 925 hits markets, but as it stands now, the Lumia 720 offers the best blend of features and performance, wrapped in a beautiful package that’s quite affordable.
