Samsung launches Omnia W, Wave III and Galaxy Y in India

Samsung has just announced the launch of three new smartphones - Omnia W, Wave III and Galaxy Y in India. The Omnia W smartphone is the very first one from Samsung based on Windows Phone aka Mango. The launch of the Omnia W (GT-18350) ends a long, dry spell, which began eversince the last Windows Phone-based smartphone launched in the country. The Wave III is Samsung's flagship smartphone, which runs on Samsung's new Bada 2.0 platform. The Galaxy Y (SS5630) smartphone, which is targeted at the younger audiences runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes packed with Samsung's TouchWiz interface, and includes SWYPE, too.

  • GPS with a-GPS Support
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and USB 2.0
  • 5MP AF acmera with LED flash (image stabilisation, geo-tagging) and 720p video recording
  • FM Radio
  • 8GB internal storage

The Omnia W is available in India for a price tag of Rs. 19,990, while the Wave III comes with a price tag of Rs. 19,600 and the Galaxy Y comes with a price tag of Rs. 7,830.
