Sony now running Android 4.3 AOSP on Tablet Z, Xperia Z and Xperia ZL

Close on the heels of promising faster turnaround times for operating system updates, Sony has released a video of Android 4.3 Android Open Source Project (AOSP) running on the Xperia Tablet Z. Sony has also managed to run the open source code on the Xperia Z and the Xperia ZL. Check out the video below:
The company has also made available the AOSP device configurations for the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Tablet Z on GitHub. If you have the know-how, you can build and flash AOSP Android 4.3 by downloading the respective device configuration.
To build and flash AOSP Android 4.3, you’ll need to have your device’s bootloader unlocked. All the necessary instructions for the process are mentioned in a "Readme" file at each device’s GiHub. However, early AOSP builds usually aren’t fully functional and don’t support a lot of features, so don’t flash it yet if you intend to use it as your main phone. Early builds are only meant for developers so they can work with the newest software available and get familiar with the new features.
Yeah, it's running 4.3 already
The company is currently working on making Android 4.2 Jelly Bean available for the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. Starting early August, Sony will be rolling out the update for the Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z too. The company said it is hoping to push some of its other devices running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to version 4.3 directly.
Sony has admitted that the Jelly Bean 4.1 rollout for Xperia 2012 products had not been “as succinct or as timely” as the customers might have expected. The Sony Developer Blog has quite a lengthy and informative piece about how the company tries to improve and refine efforts to bring users new Android versions and updates.
