| by Aaron Almeida | Smartphones

News about Sony smartphones appear to be coming in a tad too often now, almost on a daily basis. The last we heard about a Sony smartphone was by the way of a leaked image showing the ST26i snapped in the wild. The most noteworthy part about this news is that it featured the first handset from the brand to have come minus the green logo. Now, the latest from Sony smartphones is that the Xperia Sola is up for pre-order on online gadget retailer, Flipkart and will be sold at a price of INR19,999. For those of you who are not in the know, back in March, Sony officially announced the Android powered smartphone as an addition to their Xperia range. The Sony Xperia Sola is NFC-enabled and boasts of a feature known as Xperia SmartTags, which allows users to change their smartphone’s settings and applications by simply hitting tags. This NFC-enabled smartphone comes packed with two NFC Xperia SmartTags in the box, to simplify the user’s everyday smartphone experiences.

We’ve already established that the Lumia 720 is Nokia’s best effort as far as Windows Phone 8 handsets go. This could soon change once the Lumia 925 hits markets, but as it stands now, the Lumia 720 offers the best blend of features and performance, wrapped in a beautiful package that’s quite affordable.
