Tata Docomo launches 3G smartphone F-074 for Rs 21,900

Tata Docomo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices Limited, today launched a 3G smartphone, the F-074. The smartphone is priced at Rs 21,900, and exclusively available to Tata Docomo customers across its stores in Bangalore.
As per an official statement released by Docomo, the F-074 is waterproof. The handset is 6.7mm thick and weighs only 105 grams. It features ultra-tough, scratch-resistant glass having an AMOLED capacitive touch screen. Especially designed to be used in Bangalore weather, the brightness and display of the handset adjusts automatically to the intensity of sunlight. The handset comes with the Motion Conscious Audio system, which checks the environment and modulates the incoming voice to give you clear voice quality. ![]() Tata Docomo launches 3G advanced smartphone, F-074
Announcing the launch of the F-074, Deepak Gulati, executive president, mobility business division, Tata Teleservices, said, ”At Tata Docomo, we have always believed to bring new and advanced technological innovations that delights our consumers. Commenting on the launch of the smartphone manufactured by Fujitsu, Kiyohito Nagata, senior vice president and managing director of the strategic marketing department at NTT Docomo, said, “We’re very pleased with our relationship with TTSL, which has facilitated the introduction of Fujitsu’s advanced 3G smartphone in the Indian market. We will continue to work closely with TTSL as part of our broader Docomo strategy to introduce innovative products to the global market.”
Nobuo Otani, corporate senior vice president, and president of ubiquitous products business, Fujitsu Limited, said, "It is our great pleasure to introduce Fujitsu's first smartphone in India in cooperation with Tata Teleservices and NTT Docomo. We hope our phones will add new value to TTL and its customers, as we offer our smartphone in India for the first time."
The F-074 smartphone is bundled with an offer from Tata Docomo for voice and data usage. Customers can avail of a premium number for life free of cost, unlimited 3G data for three months - capped at 1GB per month, and unlimited local and STD calls to any network, if they opt for the unlimited 899 GSM Postpay plan on the Fujitsu smartphone. Customers who opt for any other Postpay GSM plan can avail of a free Premium number for life, and 1GB of 3G data per month for three months. Tata Docomo Prepay customers buying the new handset can recharge with Rs 250, and get 1GB data every month for two months. |
