Verizon Confirms Release Date for Droid 2, Confirms it Will Run on Froyo

According to an inside yet unconfirmed Verizon blog, the Motorola Droid 2 will be out on August 12th. It will also run on Froyo which includes 450 percent better performance, an improved browser, built-in Flash 10.1 support, and Apps2SD among other features. The phone will also come with pre-installed with Swype, and will pack1GHz processor, a QWERTY keypad, 8GB onboard memory, and an 8GB microSD card.
