Videocon launches A27 dual-SIM smartphone with video calling feature

Videocon Mobile has launched its new smartphone, the Videocon A27. The dual-SIM handset features a host of pre-loaded apps and is priced at Rs. 5,999.

The Videocon A27 is powered by a 1GHz Broadcomm processor with 3.75G capabilities. The handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and features a pretty impressive 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display.

According to Videocon, the A27’s most important feature is video calling, facilitated with the handsets dual cameras. Khalid Zamir, Head Product Planning & Development, Videocon Mobile Phones, said, “With the evolvement of the Android space, consumers are becoming smarter day by day and are demanding a pertinent solution to all their everyday smartphone needs. To address the demand, and bring in an advanced mechanism of efficient smartphone experience, we have launched the Videocon A27 which affording an amalgamation of every type of smartphone needs is all set to become a pertinent answer to all their expectations.

In December last year, Videocon had launched two  dual-SIM smartphones – A20 and A30. The Videocon A20 is powered by a 1Ghz Qualcomm Processor and is fuelled by a 1350 mAh battery. It comes with features like dual-SIM, dual-standby capabilities and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.

The Videocon A30  is powered by a 1Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm processor. It runs the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. The Videocon A30 is fuelled by a 1500 mAh battery. The phone measures 10.8 mm in thickness. It comes pre-loaded with apps like Facebook, TOI, ET, History Eraser, Gesture Search, Gameloft Crome- ‘Where’s Wally’, Google applications. The Videocon A30 is available at a price range of Rs 7,299.
