Videocon to Announce Zeus Evolve, Android Handset in Few Days

We might have thought that companies like Spice and Videocon have been catering to the lower end segment with low priced multimedia, Dual SIM devices, but that perspective is about to change. The smartphone market just got a whole lot more affordable as Spice has already launched their first Android device the Mi-300, you can read the review here, and it’s Videocon’s turn now. Although they haven’t made a formal announcement, their first Android powered device the Zeus Evolve is already showcased on their website. It’s running Android 1.6 for now but is upgradeable to Éclair (2.1) but the big question is, will it go further? No word on that just yet. The handset will feature -
Since it hasn’t been officially announced, the price is still unknown. It’s expected to be launched in a couple of days and we’ll know then. If they can keep the price in the same range as Spice’s offering, we’re in for a big fight. |
