Remember us telling you about a jailbreak tool for the Windows 7 Phone? Well now a proof of concept video shows a program that cracks the software DRM. According to the description, "The program can successfully pull any application from the Marketplace, remove the security and deploy to an unlocked Windows Phone with literally a push of a button." One more bug to fix... This will give rise to piracy concerns for developers, who are always a bit scared of releasing software on platforms with broken security measures. WPCentral, the guys who made the video as well as the app have notified Microsoft who are now patching the security hole as we speak.Oh and before you ask, WPCentral will not release the said application, but you can take a look at the proof of concept video below. |
