Hangout with SRK on Google+ at 3PM today

It seems as though King Khan is everywhere. After promoting his upcoming movie Ra.One on a list of products, the main man himself is now the brand ambassador for Google+. According to a report by Plugged.in, as part of the tie up with Google, Shah Rukh Khan intends to promote Ra.One to the Indian audience and Google is seeking to expand their user base for Google+ in the country.

As part of the tie-up, Shah Rukh Khan will be participating in live chats with fans on Google+. Through Google+ Hangouts, Shah Rukh will be video chatting with his fans at 3PM. Google will promote the movie through YouTube as well as Google+ and speaking about the partnership, Google India Head Rajan Anand said, “We are very pleased to associate with Shahrukh Khan to create a unique and customised destination for Ra.One on YouTube. In the last few years, Indian production houses have begun to embrace the YouTube platform to engage fans, distribute movies and leverage rich media ad formats to promote their movies online. Bollywood is now an integral part of the YouTube experience and reaches over 22 million unique users in India. With this channel we want to demonstrate how YouTube can be used creatively to connect with the highly engaged YouTube community in India and across the world.”

Earlier on this month, Shah Rukh Khan became the first Indian celebrity to be verified on Google+. By being verified, a large number of fake profiles got removed from the social networking website.
