One of India's largest financial services company, ICICI Bank is in the process of joining the world's largest social networking platform, Facebook, to better connect with their customers, reports IBNLive. The bank's official page on Facebook, which should be active soon, will allow users to access their bank accounts and other services of the bank. Quoting the bank's Executive Director, Rajiv Sabharwal, the report stated, "...ICICI Bank will soon be present on Facebook. The ICICI Bank page (on the social media website) will include a one-of-its kind 'Your Bank Account' app through which you can access your bank account information while on Facebook." Going social
If the bank does manage to set this up, the bank will be among many other customer-oriented set-ups in the country, who're increasingly discovering the benefits of social networking. Further, the bank aims at delivering "superior banking services" through the year to their users. Once the ICICI Bank page on Facebook goes live, the report states, users will even be able to keep a track of the updates and offers through Facebook, too. |
