Now view your Google+ photos in a slideshow

| by Anuradha Shetty | Social Networking

Google+ users now have the option of viewing album photos in a slideshow, as per an official post by Andrew Lee, a Software Engineer on the Google+ Photos team. To do so, users can open a photo in the lightbox and then click on the slideshow button. Once in the slideshow mode, users have the option of either hitting pause, or closing the slideshow view with the 'X' option.

One of the other changes introduced to Photos on Google+ is the ability to download entire albums of other users. To do that, users need to click on "More" on an album page and then click on "Download album". Once they do that, they will get a .zip file with the photos in the album. Importantly, if users do not want to allow others to download their photos albums, then they can do so by going to Google+ Settings and unchecking the option that says "Allow viewers to download my photos". Lee mentions in his post that the changes introduced are the result of the two common requests that the team receives.

Just a couple of days ago, we had reported about Google introducing Studio Mode to Google+ Hangouts On Air.  In an official blog post, Google's Matthew Leske wrote that musicians can begin using the feature by starting with Hangout On Air and then clicking on settings to make the transition from Voice to Studio Mode.

What's different with Studio Mode is that it optimizes individual audio for music, rather than for conversation. To demonstrate it better, Google also posted a video with Suite 709 and asked users to listen to it to know the difference that Studio Mode brought to the table. To know the difference better, Google also asked users to listen to it with their favourite pair of headphones.

Google also recently introduced custom URLs across to profiles and pages. In an official blog post, Google's Saurabh Sharma detailed that a custom URL essentially is a short, easy to remember web address that links directly to a user's profile or page on the Google+. To explain it better, the post adds further that now popular automobile company, Toyota will use google.com/+toyota to introduce its latest models, while Britney Spears has her own custom URL google.com/+britneyspears.

The feature will be available to both people and pages. However, at the moment, Google is introducing it only to a limited number of verified profiles and pages. The post, however, affirmed that over time, it will be rolled out across to more brands and people. At the moment, those to whom the custom URL feature has been rolled out include - Hugo Boss, David Beckham, Britney Spears, Toyota and Delta Air Lines, among others.
