Twitter rolls out rich media ability in Facebook integration

If you've connected your Twitter and Facebook accounts wherein when you tweet, your posts go directly to Facebook, you'll notice that the rich media that your tweets contain will not be rich in Facebook. For instance, if you've mentioned someone in a tweet or you've added a hashtag, the username or hashtag can be clicked on in Twitter, but not on Facebook. Twitter sneakily rolled out a change to that where mentions, hashtags and URLs will be in rich media format when tweets are posted over to Facebook. According to Mashable, Twitter spokesperson Robert Weeks said that the updated Twitter for Facebook integration now includes additional rich media experiences related to the first photo, URL, @mention or #hashtag in the cross-posted tweet. He added that the update is available for everyone.
Flying over fuller to Facebook
Twitter also mentioned on their support site that tweets can now also be directly posted to Facebook pages. For course, as goes with regular Twitter-Facebook integration, @replies, Direct Messages and (non-edited) retweets will not be posted to Facebook Pages. This will be a helpful tool for brands who can avoid double posting the same thing across the two social networks. If you're not seeing rich media in your Twitter to Facebook posts or you're not able to tweet to Facebook pages, it doesn't mean the update hasn't rolled out to you yet. Twitter says that all you have to do is disconnect your Twitter and Facebook accounts and then re-integrate in your Twitter profile settings.
Another big update that Twitter didn't release as silently is their new logo. All older versions of the Twitter logo, including the "t" in the blue box and the full word "twitter" in blue, as well as the old bird. The new bird seems to be facing upwards, which resonates with Twitter's aim, to lift users up to give them a wide world view. The aim includes birds (users) flocking together to achieve common purposes. A Hollywood based user, Josh Heffereich shared an image of the new Twitter logo resembling Batman. Of course, the graphic immediately went viral around the Internet. Check it out below.
