Twitter put up the big yellow banner on the timelines of users who were using the old version, saying that the old version's going to go away soon. Now, without being any more ominous, they tweeted that the change will happen this week. “If you’re currently using Old Twitter, we want to let you know that you’ll be upgraded to New Twitter this week,” the company announced. The retirement of the old version of Twitter comes nearly a year after the launch of the new version. Making a kill with a tweet
Twitter made the big yellow announcement in June. It will be interesting to see if Twitter users, who prefer the old version will seamlessly make the switch or if they will switch over to desktop applications. If you're a fan of the old version, will you make the switch? Let us know in the comments section below. |
