As mentioned earlier, the Adobe Edge is being prepped as the HTML5 and CSS3 based animation tool, which could now become the norm for web motion projects, worldwide. Taking the latest industry standards of HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 under its wings, Edge will concentrate on both the new, as well as existing HTML animation projects. Up for a complimentary download on Adobe Labs already, Edge already has takers who are talking about it on social networking platforms, too.

Using Edge, Adobe claims that it is possible to –

  • Import image formats in a varied range, including SVG, PNG, JPG or GIF files.
  • With timeline editor, properly place your animations, also can add motion to the projects
  • Enhance creativity with a range of over 25-built in effects
