The latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 7, is finally available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Users can install the update on a compatible device through the device's settings menu. Under settings, they’ll first have to select “General” and then the software update option.
Moreover, users can also get their hands on the update via the new iTunes 11.1 on Windows and OS X. The iOS 7 update is available for iPhone 5/4S/4, iPad 2/3/4, iPad Mini and the fifth generation of iPod touch.
iOS 7 now available
This time around, Apple has given the user interface a complete facelift. Firstly, the three-dimensional icons that mimic real-world counterparts have been pulled out such as magazine rack for the Newsstand app. The new OS now has larger, two-dimensional icons with abstract designs and pastel colors. The same look has been extended to many of its apps. The biggest functional change is the use of swipes instead of taps to access key functions.
Besides, the app has been enhanced with a plethora of new features to offer better performance. It gets new features such as iTunes Radio, AirDrop sharing, Control Center, filters for camera and photo apps, and improved card-style multitasking.
