It probably isn’t a good time to sit back and enjoy your lazy browsing sessions, without the realization that your browser might be possibly leaking out your online credentials.
When Rosario Valotta, an Italian security researcher went about his daily gauges; he found that the popular browser, Internet Explorer was stealing session cookies that were being generated each time after the user visited some website. The cookies act as a gate-pass to the victim’s computer. What it does next can be anyone’s guess. ‘Cookiejacking’, as the researcher chooses to call it is currently alive and kicking on all versions of Internet Explorer. The scariest part of this flaw, is the ease with which the user's system can be attacked. As simple as copying a given text file, and pasting it elsewhere; the flaw gives the hacker extremely crucial details of the user's PC, in a jiffy. Microsoft has acknowledged the flaw, and has assured a fix to it in the upcoming version of the browser.
