Iomega launches eGo portable drives for the Mac

Iomega has launched their new eGo line of portable drives for Mac users and are available in two capacities, 500GB and 1TB. The drives haven’t been launched in India yet but in the US, you can get the 500GB for $179.99 and the 1TB for $299.99.

For Mac users

The new drives sport a rugged design making them durable for everyday use. It also features three interface connectors, which include two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 2.0 port. The drive in the 500GB model spins at a faster 7200rpm for better performance. The chassis also features Iomega’s Drop Guard technology that protects the drive from drops of up to 7ft. There’s also 256-bit hardware encryption for added security.
