Nokia Offers Free LinkedIn App from Ovi Store

Nokia has announced the availability of a free LinkedIn app from the Ovi store. LinkedIn and Nokia users can send and receive messages from their LinkedIn connections, accept or decline invitations, browse profiles, search connections and update statuses on their Nokia phones. The LinkedIn app can be downloaded for free from the Ovi Store.

The app will initially be available for the Nokia N8, E7 and C6. It will contain six modules desgined specially for Nokia users. The six modules are:

Updates: Nokia users can view and share business intelligence via the app

Connections: Nokia users have instant access to their connections, with the ability to send and receive messages anytime

Search: Nokia users can search for all of LinkedIn users via the app

Invitations: Invitations can be sent and accepted on Nokia phones anytime

Inbox: Messages can be sent and received at any time

Reconnect: The app suggests new connections for users

The LinkedIn app also allows users to post status messages that will be synced with their Twitter account, via a speech bubble icon on the top right.
