Everyone pretty much knows that it's unwise to use technology in direct sunlight but one user is suing Apple because after using the iPad in direct sunlight, the device overheated and turned off. On more than one occasion. According the Bloomberg, the suit was filed in Northern California and is seeking class action status by claiming that Apple's products aren't usable in regular weather conditions and aren't living up to the advertising. The iPad has had reports of temperature sensitivity, The Next Web discovered that the iPad's operating temperature is 32 degrees to 95 degrees Fahrenheit when running, or up to 113 degrees Fahrenheit when off. This sensitivity hasn't really hurt product sales though. SOURCE: CNET |
