Those who booked the Aakash tablet, earlier this month will have to wait until next year to lay their hands on it. This cheapest tablet in the world had its units completely sold out within a week when it was made available for purchase by Datawind. The device was expected to reach customers within seven days, but now they will have to wait until January 2012, reports ZeeNews.

Delayed..yet again

Those who still want to grab the device can do so through Ncarry.com, which offers the Aakash tablet till stocks last. The UbiSlate 7, an improved version of the Aakash is available for pre-order which will 'supposedly' start shipping next month. The reason behind the delay isn’t clear, yet. The Aakash is made available at an affordable price of Rs.2,500 while the UbiSlate 7 comes at a price of Rs.3,000.
