Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos had recently in an interview asked people to “stay tuned” for news on Amazon’s plans to enter the tablet battleground. “We will always be very mindful that we will want a dedicated reading device,” Bezos also said. “In terms of any other product introductions, I shouldn’t answer.”

Readying some powerful devices

Now, there are reports floating around that Amazon is working on not one, but two tablets to release in 2011. According to BoyGeniusReport’s sources, Amazon is readying dual-core and quad-core tablets. Coyote, the entry-level (??) tablet will be powered by the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, whereas Hollywood will boast of an NVIDIA Tegra 3 ‘Kal-El’ processor, whose quad-core goodness will provide a 500% increase over its predecessor.

There is no other information available as of now, but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes and ears peeled.
