Selling in India from June 27, 2013
He had initially said that tablets such as the iPad and the Fire don't work as well in bright light because they are lit from the back; the light on the Paperwhite is directed down at the display. In addition to that, the device promises eight weeks of battery life, even with the light on.
With the Paperwhite, you can carry up to 1,100 books, and it has 62 percent more pixels for better resolution.
On the Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon has made six font styles and eight adjustable sizes available. The e-reader comes with a new Time to Read feature that uses your reading speed to tell you the time you'll take to finish your chapter.
In addition to that, Amazon claims that readers have a massive book selection to pick from, at low prices. "Over 600,000 titles at Rs 200 or less" – the description on the marketplace reads.
