Asus introduced MeMO Pad - its 7-inch Android tablet for mobile consumers. With a starting MSRP of $149 (Rs. 8,120 approx.), the Asus MeMO Pad features Android 4.1 and offers full support for Google Play, allowing users to choose from over 750,000 apps and games, browse the world's largest eBookstore, search millions of songs, watch thousands of the latest and greatest movies and TV shows and even flip through their favourite magazines.
The Asus MeMO Pad is powered by a 1GHz VIA WM8950 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. It features a 10-point multi-touch LED-backlit display, 140-degree wide viewing angles and thanks to its 350-nit brightness, the images remain clear, even outdoors. MeMO Pad also features Asus SonicMaster audio and MaxxAudio for high-quality sound. The Asus MeMO Pad has a battery life of 7 hours and is fuelled by a 4270mAh battery. ![]() Asus MeMO Pad runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Here's a quick look at the specifications of the MeMO Pad:
The Asus MeMO Pad is available in three colours – Sugar White, Titanium Gray and Cherry Pink.
A suite of Asus applications is also pre-installed, which includes SuperNote Lite, BuddyBuzz, Asus WebStorage with 5GB of online storage space, Asus Studio and WebStorage Office for enhanced productivity. Asus MeMO Pad will be available starting this January in selected markets from authorised Asus resellers.
In December last year, there were reports suggesting that Asus will be introducing a tablet with a codename ME371MG running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and featuring a 7-inch form factor . A report by Notebook Italia claims that the ME371MG features an Intel Atom Z2420 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There is an IPS display on this tablet and this 7-incher sports a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The tablet is also believed to sport features such as a GPS module, Wi-Fi and integrated Bluetooth. As far as cellular connectivity is concerned, this model also is expected to feature 3G connectivity. The rear camera on this device is believed to be 3MP. The price range of this device is expected to be in the region of $199 to $250. |
