BlackBerry, Salman Khan Launch the PlayBook in India

The much awaited BlackBerry PlayBook has been finally launched in India at an event in Mumbai. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan along with Research In Motion's Managing Director, Frenny Bawa officially launched the tablet which comes in an ultra-portable design and features industry-leading performance with real-time multitasking and symmetrical multiprocessing. BlackBerry claims that the PlayBook delivers high-fidelity web browsing including support for Adobe Flash, as well as spectacular High-Definition multimedia, advanced security features and out-of-the-box enterprise support. BlackBerry says that customers who have a BlackBerry smartphone that run OS 5.0 or higher can also benefit from BlackBerry Bridge, a unique feature that allows a user to wirelessly and securely connect their BlackBerry smartphone to their BlackBerry PlayBook over Bluetooth. They go on to say that the secure connection allows the user to access their BlackBerry smartphone's email, address book, calendar, memo pad, task list, BBM and browsing functionality using the large display on the tablet.
