College libraries to rent out Aakash tablets to students

The world's most affordable tablet, Aakash, which was the brainchild of a bunch of students from the IITs and Kapil Sibal, HRD Minister just recently went up for sale, online. While there were several who managed to place their orders for the tablet, there were several students who missed out on their chance. But, looks like, they can still have access to it.

A Zeebiz.com report states that soon college libraries will begin renting out the tablets to their respective students. These rented out tablets will, reportedly be pre-loaded with videos pertaining to the subjects being taught, which include - engineering, science and humanities, among others. That being said, details about the duration of the rent haven't been touched upon, but will be decided on by colleges themselves. The government has been very ambitious about its plans regarding the Aakash tablet, and has been working hard towards assuring that it reaches students across the country.
