30 May, 2011, 11:09 pm IST | by tech2 News Staff | Tablets

ViewSonic have officially announced the launch of the ViewPad 7x, which is to be the world’s first 7-inch Honeycomb Tablet. We told you about the possibility of the launch earlier this month, and it looks like that has now come true.

Along with Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb, the ViewPad 7x will also boast of an NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, a 7-inch 1024x600 display, dual-cameras, HSPA+ and increased connectivity options. The tablet will weigh 380 grams with a rather colourful back panel and will also support DLNA and HDMI connectivity for media output and also have SRW TruMedia support.

No other details have been revealed, including release dates or pricing, but we’re hoping to get some more information on that front soon.
