Dell to discontinue sale of 7-inch Streak tablet in the U.S

06 Dec, 2011, 2:35 pm IST | by Anuradha Shetty | Tablets

Dell Streak 7 tablet, which was Dell's entrant in the tablet market, after the previously stalled Streak 5 tablet reached the end of its run in the U.S market, confirms a graphic on the company’s official site. Although, it has not been made clear as to what triggered this decision of the company, rumour mills have begun churning, nevertheless. According to a report in PC World, Dell has been spending sleepless nights over the raging success of the likes of the Kindle Fire and the iPad that have been selling so well in the U.S. The Fire, especially has been selling at the same price as Streak 7 after rebates.
