The Dell XPS 12 convertible, Latitude 10 tablet, Latitude 6430u Ultrabook, OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One with touch and the S2340T Win8 multi-touch monitor were unveiled today. With its new offerings, Dell claims to be ushering in the next era of computing, built to optimise Windows 8.
As per an official statement by Dell, this new product range comes equipped with enterprise-ready features that will help in enabling companies to give employees devices they want to use while maintaining the IT security and manageability necessary for enterprise-class deployments.
Commenting on the occasion, P Krishnakumar, Executive Director, Marketing, Dell India, said, “The combination of new Dell hardware and Windows OS will allow customers to create and consume content in new and exciting ways which makes technology more accessible and intuitive.” He further added, “The new products launched today are all about maximizing the balance between end user preferences, productivity and IT control, backed by robust customer service, aimed at helping users and IT departments navigate the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) landscape.” ![]() Dell XPS 12 convertible: Features a flip hinge touchscreen display
Dell XPS 12 convertible It has a flip hinge touchscreen display designed to make good use of the Windows 8 operating system advances for touch interaction. The result is two products in one, providing the full functionality of an ultraportable laptop with keyboard plus the convenience of a tablet, states Dell in its official statement. The flip hinge design makes the transition from laptop to tablet and back. It features a Full HD screen that provides 97 percent more pixels than a standard HD display. Latitude 10 tablet The 10-inch Latitude 10 tablet fits into existing IT environments and offers multi-media features, accessory compatibility, and full compatibility with current Windows applications that takes advantage of the latest advances in touch-enabled applications. Latitude 6430u The Latitude 6430u is a 14-inch Ultrabook. Dell claims that the new design is 33 percent slimmer and 16 percent lighter than Dell’s current 14-inch Latitude notebook. It also features all-day productivity with a single battery change.

Dell is not only designing tablets and PCs for Windows 8, but also is updating its line of computing peripherals. Dell has also introduced a 23-inch S2340T multi-touch monitor and notebook hub designed specially to extend the Windows 8 experience. The S2340T is Dell’s first multi-touch monitor, intended for media entertainment, and a multi-position, 90-degree articulating stand. The multi-touch functionality provides expanded capabilities when using the new apps on Windows 8.
Dell XPS 12 convertible is available from today at a starting price of Rs 90,490. The OptiPlex 9010 All-In-One hits the shelves on November 10 priced at Rs 49,990 onwards. Dell Latitude 6430u Ultrabook will be on the market in mid-November with a price tag of Rs 69,990 onwards. The Dell Latitude 10 tablet will be available by the end of November at a starting price of Rs 42,490. The Dell S2340T multi-touch monitor will be up for sale from early 2013. All prices are exclusive of taxes. |
