Go Tech’s funTab 2G Talk comes with voice call support for Rs 6,999

Go Tech Digital has unveiled the new addition to its funTab range of tablets. The funTab “2G Talk” is priced at Rs. 6,999/ and has a SIM slot that also supports voice calls.

The tablet is powered by a Boxchip A13 Cortex A8 1.2Ghz CPU and a dual-core Mali-400 GPU. It also has 512MB of DDR2 RAM.

Other specs of the device include:

• 7-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480
• Voice calling on 2G connection   
• Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi hotspot, Data dongle support
• Bluetooth with A2DP
• USB with host support
• 2-Megapixel rear camera and VGA front-facing camera
• Internal memory of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB

The tablet will launch with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and will have a 3000 mAh battery.

The funTab 2G Talk has some preloaded applications such as the exclusive Guide My Treatment app, which the company claims will “help bridge the gap between the medical world and the patients, and also help them get timely attendance to their problems in a simple and hassle-free manner.” Then there are apps like Attano Edu TV and Ebook Player, which are targetted at students and offer them a chance to access interactive educational content – both to read and to watch. Furthermore, it has music and video entertainment apps called Hungama My Play and Bollywood App. The tablet has a dedicated games market called Funbazaar, which offers pastimes such as Tic Tac Toe, Sudoku, crossword, chess etc. Moreover, it has support for various video codecs such as H.264, DIVX, XVID, rm, rmvb, MKV, WMV, MOV. It can also natively play 1080p videos. The tablet comes with a one year manufacturing warranty.
