As reported earlier, the big news on day two of the Google I/O was Chrome OS. The operating system which has been around for some time, will run on a new device announced by Google - Chromebook. For those hoping that this OS will be available for tablets you will be sorely disappointed. Tablets to miss out on Chrome OS
After the keynote on the Chrome OS, in a question and answer session, Sundar Pichai, Senior VP of Chrome said that Chrome OS was a new experience that they were working on and its hardware was agnostic in a sense. He goes on to say that they are fully focused on laptops and that most web usage which is greater than 90% is on laptops and they have no plans to have it on any other form factor.
