iBall launches 9.7-inch dual-core Slide i9702 tablet for Rs 14,999

iBall, a manufacturer renowned for its PC components and a range of budget tablets, is now stepping into the mid-range market segment by introducing a 9.7-inch tablet with an IPS screen called the Slide i9702. This new model features in the brand’s Performance Series, and is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor.

The iBall Slide i9702 comes also equipped with a quad-core G400 Mali graphics processor and 1GB DDR3 RAM. iBall has used a full capacitive multi-touch IPS display that helps in viewing images and videos without the need to adjust the angle of the tablet.

The new iBall Slide i9702 comes equipped with dual cameras with both front and back 2MP shooters. The tablet remains fuelled by an 8000mAh battery gives over 7 hours of usage, according to iBall.

The gadget runs on Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) giving it the access to multiple functions. It has an 8GB built-in memory, extendable to up to 32 GB with a microSD card. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi capability, USB ports, and a host port. It also has 3G on data card through a USB dongle, and an HDMI Port to be connected to projectors or TV for a nice experience of presentation, music and videos.

The tablet comes preloaded with apps such as Facebook, Zomato, IBN Live, Moneycontrol, Nimbuzz, Cricket Next and Document Viewer.

The iBall Slide i9702 is available in India at a best buy price of Rs 14,999.

In related news, iBall has recently launched the Andi 4.3j with the latest offering boasting the unique feature of having a dual battery. The company states that this is the first of its kind to be launched in India.

The smartphone features a 4.3-inch display equipped with a full capacitive touch interface. It also offers video calling on 3G networks. As far as the technical specifications are concerned, the iBall Andi 4.3j features a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, AGPS and Bluetooth with A2DP+ EDR.
 
This handset may be best suited for frequent travellers and gamers as they need worry about battery life. The dual batteries – 1630mAh and 900mAh -- provide a total output of 2530mAh. Apart from travelling and games, this handset can be ideal for Internet browsing as well. This gadget apart from above features has dual-SIM capabilities with dual standby and a gravity sensor. To automatically adjust the brightness of the screen back-light it has a light sensor along with proximity sensor both these features help to save and improve battery life. The iBall Andi 4.3j is priced at Rs 9,499.
