ICE X Electronics launches ICE Xtreme, 7-inch Android-based tablet

ICE X Electronics has launched its maiden offering, the ICE Xtreme, 7-inch Android-based tablet, marking its debut in the consumer electronics segment. The company simultaneously announced plans to soon launch, what it calls the world’s first ever wireless charging tablet, the ICE Xtreme- II, and a pico computer to transform regular LED/ LCD TV sets into smart-computing devices.
The company further claims that the ICE Xtreme, 7-inch Android-based tablet is all set to redefine the ‘value-for-money’ segment, and is known to have been especially designed to suit all needs of the Indian user, personal and professional. The budget tablet is targeted at the youth and young professionals in Tier I and II cities, who seek value for money without compromising on quality and technology. ![]() ICE Xtreme 7 tablet
The tablet weighs 375 grams and runs on the Android ICS 4.0 OS. The ICE Xtreme, 7-inch Android-based tablet is powered by an Allwinner A10 1.5GHz processor, and is equipped with 1GB DDR3 RAM. The tablet is fuelled by a 4700mAh battery. The tablet is optimized for superior viewing experience due to a full HD 3D capable HDMI port. It has numerous built-in features and applications and sound ergonomics. The ICE Xtreme comes pre-loaded with over 100 apps including in-house apps such as Teacher X, with premium educational content.

Commenting on the occasion of the lauch, Ravi Jakhar, Founder and Managing Director, ICE X Electronics said, “ICE X Electronics has entered the Indian market while it is still maturing. Though there are a large number of players in this field, in a country of a billion people, the market also has a potential to easily grow at over 2 million pieces per annum. We have closely observed the consumer requirements in the last few months, and our products are a culmination of this effort. Today, we can confidently say that we have been able to read the pulse of the Indian consumer, and have designed and manufactured the products keeping the Indian consumers in mind”.
The ICE Xtreme, 7-inch Android-based tablet will primarily be sold through ICE X's online store www.icexstore.com, and its official website www.icexelectronics.com, to minimize distribution costs, and pass on the resultant benefits to the buyer. The company has priced the tablet at Rs. 6,999. The tablet will also be available across select consumer electronic chains across India eventually. |
