So HP is trying to build on the suspense behind its launch of the webOS tablets. A few days back, we heard that HP will make an exciting announcement this February and now, a few images of the webOS tablet have also been released. Wait, that’s not it - their latest invitation also says there is more at the event. Engadget has got the exclusive pictures and some other details about the tablet. That's Topaz stuff The 9-inch Topaz is one of the two tablets that HP will showcase at the event, the other being a 7-inch tablet that has been codenamed Opal. The display of the Topaz has a no-button design, a front-facing camera and a micro USB port at the bottom. The tablet also has three speakers for stereo audio in landscape and portrait modes. There’s also news about both tablets having a 1.2 GHz processor and that Opal will launch before Topaz. Coming to the production dates, the tablets are said to arrive at Palm’s Sunnyvale HQ in June this year. According to an internal marketing slide that the source has received, WiFi-only, AT&T 3G, and Verizon LTE versions of the Opal are arriving in September 2011. Quite a thought... After releasing pictures to Engadget, HP has sent another invite that says, "Think you saw the latest on Engadget? Think again." Hmm, wonder what HP really has to show us next month. |
