You asked him the questions and he's got answers. Arun Khanna, Chairman, Olive Telecommunications has sent in his answers to most of your queries and here they are - Q – When is the official announcement? Who will be your retailers / channel partners? – Badri A – The product will be on retail shelves within the month. Starting from Croma we will be going to LFRs (Large Format Retail) Q – Mr. Khanna you've done a fantastic roll out for a whole range of products in a very short period of time. My concern however, is how are you going to manage servicing of these products? What is the status of your service network? – Deepika A – Thank you, it's because of the interest of consumers like you that we have continued to extend ourselves. We have a countrywide service network to look after any need the consumer may have. And we are arguably the only company to offer the 100 day replacement warranty. Q - Olive mobile phones are not available at my city Dhanbad (JH)? Can we expect them soon and the Olive Pad as well? - Abhishek Soni. A – We will be there soon. Q - Will OlivePad support Flash Player 10.1? Can it upgraded to Froyo (2.2) and then Gingerbread (3.0) later on? A – Yes Q - Do you plan on increasing the size of the device? Currently it's just a touch more than a big cell phone, my gaming experience is far superior on the iPad. Do you have any plans to increase the size? - Prashant Sagar A – We are also looking at different form factors Q - Sir, you achieved a great deal by bringing in an android based tablet. But, don't you think that after the initial leverage you created, you may sag because of the high price point (Rs. 25k) considering entry of Apple and Notion Ink which would be around the same price? Knowing that Olive is a relatively new brand, don't you think people expect a more reasonable price if Olive wants to capture a significant chunk of the market share from other established competitors? (i.e. Apple. or Dell) - Shiva A – Expectation and reality do not often match. Our aim of consumer delight often makes us load various software, all of which costs money. |
