iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 shells spotted in a video

A new video posted on YouTube allegedly gives us a sneak peek of Apple’s upcoming iPad 5 and iPad mini 2. But does that mean that Apple is about to unleash its next-gen slates on us next week? Before we think about that, here's a look at the video:
The video shows the iPad 5 shell which looks thinner and shorter than the previous generation iPad. In fact, looks like it has taken design cues from the first iPad mini. It has really thin bezels too. The inner side of the shell shows the camera cut out, and the body is said to be very rigid and strong, cut out of a single sheet of aluminum. On the other hand, the iPad mini 2 shell doesn’t particularly show any design change, save for the Apple logo. The chrome logo is inserted through a cut-out on the inside while its predecessor has the logo polished on to the block of aluminium.
The event slated for September 10 seems to be an exclusive iPhone event, where two iPhones are expected to be announced simultaneously for the first time. There's no word about the next-gen tablets, and those are normally announced before the US holiday season and that means an October announcement. That hasn't stopped iPad leaks coming our way. Earlier last month, we had seen leaked images of iPad 5's supposed screen and digitizer.
