iPad Event on March 2 Confirmed

Looks like the speculation yesterday turned out to be true after all. There are reports stating Apple have sent out media invites to various recipients regarding an event at the usual Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Fransisco, California. For those not in the know, that’s the venue for most of Apple’s recent product launches. And oh boy, is this new one a biggie.

Blow the cover off!

Just that image should tell you what the event is about. While it remains unclear whether the iPad that’s coming is a full-fledged successor or a stopgap until they release another in the fall, I’m sure there are tons of people waiting to lap it up.

iPad 2 launch date rumours have been making the rounds for ages now, with none of them materializing in any way or form. It’s nice to finally see some confirmation.
