Karbonn has launched its tablet—the Karbonn SmartTab10. According to the company, the tablet is one of the best devices created by it and is loaded with a lot of features. The tablet is available across the country at an introductory price of Rs 10,490.
The tablet sports a 9.7-inch capacitive touchscreen and runs on Android Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB DDR3 RAM, giving it support for HD video. It is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery.
Other features of the tablet include a front facing camera and a 2 megapixel rear camera. It also comes with support for a USB dongle, which would let you access 3G and Wi-Fi b/g/n. The tablet has a microSD card slot, through which the memory can be expanded by up to 32GB. Also included are Bluetooth and HDMI out.

The tablet comes with the Saavn music app pre-installed. It allows unlimited access to music for free and offers special music zones like 'Weekly Top 15' and 'Surprise Me'. Other pre-installed apps include Google Currents, Angry Birds Seasons, Turbo Fly 3D, NexGtv, Flipboard, Google Chrome, Kingsoft Office and utility apps like Economic Times, Times of India, JustDial, Popi, PayTM and Facebook, among others.
It was earlier revealed that Karbonn is about to enter the giant smartphone market with the A30. While the device with a 5.9-inch screen hasn't been officially announced by Karbonn, it can be seen on some online retail stores for pre-order.
As is typical of phones developed by Indian companies, the A30 comes with a dual-SIM slot. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and has an 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash. It also has a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. The company has not given any word on the RAM of the device or the display resolution as of yet. Other major features of the A30 include a 2,500 mAh battery, which, given the screen size, may not be very sufficient. It also has Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities along with a microSD card slot.
In October, the company had unveiled the Karbonn Agnee tablet at the Innovation Qualcomm India 2012 event held in Delhi. It is a 3G tablet powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S1 MSM 7x27A processor.
The company had further revealed that the tablet is priced in the Rs 10,000 bracket. The Agnee tablet is available in three variants. Jelly Bean will be supported by the tablet, but the update is scheduled for an unannounced date in the future. In addition, the Agnee tablet features several India-centric apps that will be free initially, but subscription-based later. USB support will also be available on the lower end models of the Agnee tablet.
