| by tech2 News Staff | Tablets

Innominds and Karbonn today unveiled the Karbonn Agnee tablet at the Innovation Qualcomm India 2012 event held in Delhi. It is an indigenous 3G tablet powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S1 MSM 7x27A processor. This 3G tablet has been designed and developed in India by Innominds to provide a comprehensive and collaborative platform for students and faculty.

The Agnee runs on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and is fuelled by a 4,000mAh Li-Polymer battery. It sports a 7-inch display, and comes with HDMI.

The company has further revealed that the tablet will be priced in the sub-Rs 10,000 bracket, and should be available in India in time for Diwali. The Agnee tablet will be available in 3 variants. Jelly Bean will be supported by the tablet, but the update is scheduled for an unannounced date in the future. In addition, the Agnee tablet will feature several India-centric apps, that will be free initially, but subscription-based later. USB support will also be available on the lower end models of the Agnee tablet.
