The Smart Tab 2 embeds a 7-inch capacitive 5-point multi-touchscreen. It features a 3D G-sensor for gaming, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Xburst processor. As always, budget tablet manufacturers don’t seem to put much thought into an enhanced camera, and the Smart Tab 2 is limited to a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a 3700mAh battery, offering 25 hours of music playback and eight hours of video playback, according to an official release made by the company. On the connectivity front, it has HDMI support.

Here is a quick look at some of the other specifications of the Smart Tab 2:

  • 3G via USB dongle, Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • 4GB Internal memory, expandable up to 32GB

Smart Tab 1 is also available on Snapdeal, sporting an almost similar set of features. It also powered by an X-Burst processor and runs on Android ICS, upgradeable to Jelly Bean. The tablet has a 7-inch capacitive 5-point touchscreen, and is fuelled by a 3700mAh battery. In addition, it has a gravity sensor, Wi-Fi and 3G support through USB dongle, 2MP front camera, and pre-embedded applications such as Karbonn Smart Browser and Karbonn Smart games. At the time of the launch of the Smart Tab 1, Pradeep Jain, Managing Director, Karbonn Mobiles said, "With its unmatched combination of high performance and ultra-low power consumption, the MIPS-Based Ingenic SoC was a natural choice for our new tablet. Long battery life, leading-edge features and a wealth of local content make the Karbonn Smart Tab 1 an ideal product for the Indian market".

Last month, Snapdeal had put the Samsung Omnia M on its shelves. The Windows 7.5 Tango Smartphone comes with a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display. It delivers excellent 3G performance with Video Telephony and a powerful 1500mAh battery. The Omnia M’s Metro Tile User Interface is intuitive, unique and provides a panoramic view. Communicating and sharing are easier with the Samsung exclusive app Family Story, which allows cross device sharing of photos, slideshows, memos and event scheduling. Samsung’s ChatON service is preloaded so the user can group chat and message across several platforms including iOS and Android. It sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 233 ppi and powered by a 1GHz processor. On the connectivity front, it offers 3G, EDGE/ GPRS, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth and USB 2.0. It has a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and secondary video camera.
