Popular technology brand, Lenovo, is in the limelight for its latest announcement of the IdeaPad A1, an Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered 7-inch tablet that will cost a mere $199. No figures missing there! Lenovo has plunged into the low-budget tablet market, where HP had ventured before with its TouchPad.

According to a ZDNet report, in addition to Gingerbread, IdeaPad A1 will sport two cameras and pack in storage capabilities of upto 32GB. However, keeping in mind the price limitation, it will be a single core 1 GHz model and will sport a resolution of 1024 x 600. Additionally, Lenovo will provide the customers of the IdeaPad A1 with the Lenovo App Store, with Android Market access. The App market, during the launch period is being touted to come included with as many as 200 apps, and in the future only apps compatible with the A1 will feature on the App Store.
With a launch this month for the A1 being spoken about, and with the 'HP's discounted price version' selling well, one could expect the A1 finding a place for itself in the market. What do you think of Lenovo's IdeaPad A1? |
