Micromax Funbook Alpha now available on Saholic

The Micromax Funbook Alpha is one of the most affordable tablets in the market and has been very popular ever since it was launched in April for the very same reason. The tablet, which was exclusively available only on Snapdeal during the launch, is now up for sale on Saholic, an online store under Spice

Micromax has partnered with Pearson, Everon, BIGflix, Zenga and Indiagames to elevate entertainment, education and gaming experience for its users. Basically, the Funbook is trying to amalgamate learning with fun for the youth and have dished out two variants – Suave Silver and Brilliant Black. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz processor and comes with 512MB RAM.

Micromax’s Funbook includes an e-learning app and allows users to access study materials, videos, multimedia, tests, assessment and even references from leading content brands like Pearson, Everonn, GK Publishers, Scholarshub, Vidyalankar, Universal Tutorials, CAPS, Zion and more. BIGflix enables choosing from over 1000 movies in nine languages. Improved gaming is offered by Indiagames, while latest gossip is available through ‘Bolly Buzz’. And you get 1GB of free downloads for the first two months.

In April, Micromax had partnered with BIGflix to offer exclusive HD movies for the Funbook. Users can login through the app and stream any movie from a library of 1000 movies. After the initial free period is over, users will have to pay a subscription fee of Rs.249 per month in order to continue streaming. Bigflix is part of Reliance BIG Entertainment group and is one of the largest video-on-demand services available in India.

With the launch of Funbook, we are offering a smart solution to solve this dilemma, and we believe that Funbook will help create a balance between the two.”
