Milagrow to launch TabTop tablet to honour Gagan Narang

| by tech2 News Staff | Tablets

Milagrow HumanTech, the manufacturer of the TabTop line of tablets and Domestic Robots, will launch a TabTop to honour Gagan Narang, who recently won the Olympic Bronze medal in the 10-metre air rifle event. Five percent of the sales proceeds from the special edition product will be given to Narang.

Speaking about the initiative, Rajeev Karwal, Founder & CEO, Milagrow Business & Knowledge Solutions, said, “We are very thrilled that Narang has made India proud, and thus, to honour Narang, we have decided to launch the special edition products in his name. The player will also get a chance to win more than Rs 50 lakh over a one-year period.

Milagrow expects to sell more than 10,000 TabTops/Domestic Robots named after Narang at a price of at least Rs. 10,000. Milagrow will launch the special edition products after consultation with Narang about the specifications and packaging.

A few months ago, Milagrow added another product to its TabTop series in India - the Tabtop 7.4 series, which comes in 4 GB and 16 GB models. The company calls it one of the most slimmest seven-inch tablets available in India at a thickness of 6.5 mm. The tablet joins the list of ICS tablets, running on the Android 4.0.3 platform and fuelled by a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor coupled with Dual Mali 400 MP. It has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and claims a utilizable area of 23.54 sq. inches.

In the TabTop 7.4 series, Milagrow has added in an offline e-mail client that allows e-mail access without an Internet connection, along with online e-mail instant push notifications and Office Drop with free cloud storage of 1GB. The tablet features a 4000 mAh battery that can last for up to 11 hours.

Here’s quick look at the features of the Milagrow TabTop 7.4:

  • Seven-inch capacitive touchscreen display with LED backlight and a 800 x 600 pixel resolution
  • 4G/3G via external dongle, EDGE/GPRS and Wi-Fi capabilities, HDMI
  • USB, can connect up to three digital devices
  • 1.3 front facing camera for video chats, stills and video recording
  • 4 GB and 16 GB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB

With an 81-member team, India is expected to bring back the largest medal haul in its Olympics history. We expect that India will outperform its previous best this time in all the games, especially in discus throwing, badminton, boxing, field hockey, shooting, tennis and wrestling.
