Shemaroo to launch Chanakya movie on WishTel's Tablet TV series

The makers of the IRA and IRA Thing 2 tablets, WishTel, have partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment to release a management film based on Chanakya’s teachings - ‘Chanakya Speaks - The Seven Pillars for Business Success’ on the former's Tablet TV series. Apparently, the corporate film is targeted at business professionals, corporate decision makers, businessmen, entrepreneurs, management students and trainees, and will be available for users of WishTel’s IRA ICON Tablets.

The film, which has been produced by Shemaroo, features insights from Narayana Murthy (Chairman Emeritus, Infosys Ltd.); Dr Santrupt Misra (Director-Group HR, CEO-Carbon Black Business, Aditya Birla Group); Vinita Bali (Managing Director, Britannia Industries Ltd.); Subroto Bagchi (Chairman, MindTree Ltd.); Raamdeo Agrawal (Joint Managing Director, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.) and D. Sivanandhan (Director General of Police (Retd.), Maharashtra).

According to the company, the film attempts to simplify the teachings of Chanakya from the Arthashastra, while making them relevant for today's life. One of the 'Construct for Governance' in the book Kautilya’s Arthashastra is called 'The Saptangas' - meaning “The Seven Pillars for a Successful Kingdom”. Directed by Vasudevan Srinivasan, the story revolves around the quest of a young business executive trying to rediscover Chanakya's Teachings. Mentored by his quirky "boss", he discovers Chanakya's Seven Pillars Construct (Model) and sets upon a journey to apply the "learnings" for the growth of his organization and to improve his own life.

• Corporate Chanakya – Leadership: It has 70 chapters that talk about power, qualities of leader, competition, people and what a leader should not do.
• Corporate Chanakya - Management: It has 70 chapters that focus on managing employees, finance, team work and strategy 
• Corporate Chanakya - Training: It has 35 chapters that talk about employee training, training to higher authorities, organization and advice.

The film is also available at all major retail outlets on Shemaroo DVDs for Rs. 499/-. The production of the film is inspired from the bestselling book ‘Corporate Chanakya’, authored by Radhakrishnan Pillai.
