Motorola's much anticipated Honeycomb infused tablet the XOOM has finally been officially announced for the Indian sector. We've been waiting for this device for quite sometime now and while the hype around it has been loud, we're anxious to see if it manages to live up to expectations. The XOOM may have been the world’s first Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet, but it's certainly not India's first as the Acer ICONIA Tab A500 has usurped that title. The tablet was expected to make an entry about a month ago, but Motorola was mum on the topic. That's all changed now as an official mailer was sent out announcing the device fro India. On its way...
Details like pricing and the exact date of availability haven’t been disclosed yet, so stay tuned. We're placing in the Rs. 28,000 (16GB Wi-Fi Only) to Rs. 36,000 (32GB) range. What do you think? It's highly possible that Motorola would launch the 3G edition just to get an upper hand on the competition. |
