ZenFocus myZenTab 773B 7-inch tablet launched for Rs 9,930

ZenFocus has recently launched a new tablet called the myZenTAB. As per an official statement from ZenFocus, the tablet is intended for general as well as enterprise customers. The tablet is based on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, and has inbuilt 3G support to provide high speed connectivity.

The myZenTAB Model 773B is the second generation tablet by ZenFocus with 7-inch capacitive and 5-point touchscreen. It has a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels packed in a solid metallic shell. This tablet is based on a Boxchip A10 chipset, and is supported by a Mali-400 graphics processing unit (GPU). It comes loaded with 512MB DDR3 RAM, Android OS 4.03, and supports Flash 11.1.

ZenFocus myZenTAB 773B launched in India

myZenTAB 773B has a front camera of 0.3MP, and has support for on-the-go USB mouse and keyboard. It also has in-built WI-FI support for 802.11 b/g/n, and 3G support with phone calling facility and data access. It has an internal storage of 8GB, flash and external memory expansion up to 32GB ROM. It comes with HDMI TV-out support with 1080p.

The new offering comes preloaded with various functions such as Dictionary, Calculator, 3D games, and Android applications. ZenFocus claims that it has the potential to last 4 hours with Wi-Fi browsing and 5 hours of video gaming.

Google’s Android has been dominating the low-end to mid-end tablet segment. In India, where price is a vital deciding factor while purchasing any device, the affordable Android brigade has been gaining a lot of attention. Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, which was announced last year in October, has made it to only a handful of smartphones in India and after a considerable delay, but the booming tablet market saw batches of affordable ICS tablets as soon as the year 2012 flagged off. Today, the affordable tablet market is fierce, and manufacturers have been striving to push prices as low as possible, with some cool features bundled in the device to boot. At one point in time, a tablet under Rs 15,000 seemed impossible. The tablet market has since showed several options under the Rs 10,000 mark.

This is one option that can be considered a budget tablet, although it is a bit costlier than other models available in the market in the same segment
