Zync unveils dual-core variant of Cloud Z5 phablet for Rs 11,990

Zync has announced its first 5-inch dual-SIM-based Android phablet – Cloud Z5 – with a dual-core processor. Zync has priced this variant of its Cloud Z5 phablet at Rs 11,990. The dual-SIM tablet comes with SIM calling and SMS functionality. The device weighs 192 g (battery included) and is available in black colour option. 

 

The Cloud Z5 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. It is fuelled by a 2500mAh  battery. The product will be available on all e-commerce websites like Snapdeal.com, Naaptol.com, IndiaTimes, HomeShop18.com, Infibeam.com, Shopclues.com, indiaplaza.com and themobilestore.com. The company is offering a one year comprehensive warranty for the tablet and also a pick up and drop facility in case there is a problem that occurs while using the device.

Here’s a quick look at the specs of the Cloud Z5:

  • 5-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution
  • 3G, Wi-Fi capabilities
  • Built-in GPS and voice navigation
  • Bluetooth
  • Front camera: 0.3MP, auto-focus back camera: 8.0MP with flash
  • FM radio
  • 4GB internal memory + 32GB expandable memory

 

The Cloud Z5 phablet supports audio file formats like MP3, WAV, AMR and AWB; and video file formats like MOV, MKV, AVI, RMVB, RM, TS, TP, M2TS, VOB, DAT, MPEG, MP4, PMP, 3GP, FLV, WMV, ASF etc. 

 

In October this year, we reported about the company announcing its foray into the phablet segment with its 5-inch dual-SIM Android phablet Cloud Z5 – powered by a 1GHz single-core processor. The Cloud Z5 functions on Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. It has 512MB of RAM. The phablet has a battery life of 2500mAh with a talktime of up to five hours. The phablet is priced at Rs 9,490. It comes with SIM calling and SMS functionality.

 

At the time, Ashish Garg, Director, Zync Global, said, “With many new entrants flooding the market, this is the company’s first attempt in launching an innovative product- which is a tablet cum smartphone with all the latest features. We have included featured like FM radio, GPS navigation and dual-sim which none of our products possess. We are sure to capture a majority part of the market with the launch of this device which will provide cutting-edge technology and latest offerings to the masses.”

 

Prior to that, Zync had announced the launch of its new product, the Z930. The 7-inch tablet is priced at Rs 5,499. It runs on Android v4.0 (ICS), which can be upgraded to Android v4.1 (Jellybean). The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor with a Mali 400 GPU. It also offers in-built 3G support via dongles. It is fuelled by a 3,600mAh Lithium-Ion battery. Z930 comes loaded with 512MB of RAM, and weighs 340 g. The other features include a standard USB port, a Micro USB port, a 3.5mm earphone jack, a microSD TF slot along with HDMI support. The tablet also boasts of features such as a G-Sensor that allows for motion sensor based games.
