ESPN India to go Mobile

ESPN has announced its plans to offer value added services, Mobile ESPN, from Nov 15, in India. The service will offer latest updates on cricket and football, along with exclusive interviews, news programs such as 'Sports Centre' and 'Super Selector', as well as the schedule of all sports events. Mobile ESPN will be available in voice, video and text formats and will be transmitted in multiple languages on various telecom networks. R.C. Venkateish, managing director of ESPN Software (India) Pvt Ltd., at a press conference said, "Globally, Mobile ESPN has defi0ned a new wireless category. With this service, sports enthusiasts in India will now have ESPN on their fingertips." Prices for the value added services range from Rs 50-100 as a monthly fee, depending on the format. Users can also avail of Mobile ESPN on pay-per-use basis on a regular telecom tariff. The service can be availed by dialing 505 on your phone or by sending an SMS to 3776. Read more here. |
