A fire broke out at commercial complex Peninsula Park, home to a lot of big offices including Vodafone and Airtel. The fire caused by a short circuit in the power cables that belong to the power supplier in Peninsula Chambers, one of the buildings in the complex, reportedly raged for about four hours before it could be controlled badly affecting the Airtel office leading to a lot of subscribers being unable to make or receive phone calls - getting an "Emergency Calls Only" message on their screens instead. The fire affected network in South Mumbai and some parts of the suburbs according to Airtel. |
