Reliance Communications (RCOM), has slashed rates for calls to Gulf by over 36% allowing customers to make calls to all countries in the Gulf region at Rs. 6.99 per minute with the Reliance Global Call Card Rs. 1900 denomination. "We are glad to have yet again taken the lead in offering the best value proposition for Reliance customers, who can call Gulf countries at just Rs. 6.99 per minute", said S.P. Shukla, President — Personal Business, RCOM. "Being a truly integrated telecom service provider, RCOM has always believed in realizing synergies for benefit of our customers, through superior value offerings. The series of initiatives undertaken redcently would further enhance RCOM's leadership position and value for our many million stakeholders", he added. RCOM's Falcon Cable System, launched last year, is the only source of terabit capacity international bandwidth connecting the Gulf region to India and Rest of the World. Currently close to 45 percent of international outgoing calls from India are made to Gulf countries. The drop in calling rates to Gulf comes soon after the RCOM dropped international calling rates to US and Canada to just Rs. 1.99 per minute, bringing them at par with domestic long distance tariffs. |
